Lock Haven, Pennsylvanie.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"western\">Le NE-1, le Cub marin<\/h2>\n<p>Alors que l\u2019US Army Air Force (pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment Army Air Corps, jusqu'au 20 juin 1941) avait command\u00e9, sous la d\u00e9nomination O-59 (pour 59<sup>e<\/sup> type d\u2019avion d\u2019observation, selon le syst\u00e8me de l\u2019US Army ; les appareils command\u00e9s \u00e0 partir du 2 avril 1942 \u00e9tant des L-4, 4<sup>e<\/sup> type d\u2019avion de liaison) 435 exemplaires d'une version au fuselage l\u00e9g\u00e8rement modifi\u00e9 par l\u2019ajout de vitrages, offrant ainsi une meilleure visibilit\u00e9, l\u2019US Navy a command\u00e9 230 exemplaires de la version standard du J3C-65, en tant qu\u2019appareil d\u2019entra\u00eenement au pilotage, qu\u2019elle a d\u00e9nomm\u00e9 NE-1 ; \u00ab N \u00bb \u00e9tant une lettre code pour Training (Entra\u00eenement), et \u00ab E \u00bb pour Piper, selon le syst\u00e8me de l\u2019US Navy.
