Experience the Airplanes of D-Day Cerny-La Ferté Alais, Wednesday June 12 2024

If you weren't able to see them in Normandy for the 80th anniversary of D-Day, come and visit the D-Day aircraft at the Musée Volant Salis, on Wednesday June 12, 2024.
The Commemorative Air Force French Wing invites you to visit the interiors of two historic Commemorative Air Force aircraft.
Douglas C-47 Skytrain, That's All, Brother. A true veteran of the Normandy invasion, he led the main assault wave at dawn on June 6, 1944. For the second time, he made the trip from San Marcos, Texas.
The Douglas R4D-6S "Ready 4 Duty" of CAF's Dallas Forth Wing is the naval version of the C-47. The CAF version was modified to carry anti-submarine grenades. It was assigned to the U.S. Navy Atlantic Special Service Squadron and served in both the North and South Atlantic. He brings with him an original display of artifacts from the battleship USS Texas BB-35, which took part in Operation Neptune during the Normandy Landings.
Other C-47/DC-3s may also stop at La Ferté on static display.
Tickets cost €19 and include a visit to the Musée Volant Salis and the interiors of the two CAF aircraft.
There will be no pre-sales, and tickets can be purchased on site at the museum reception desk.
