The ferry flight
I left Sézanne airfield at 2:15 PM, piloted by Claude Requi and Patrick Pierre-Pierre, and reached one hour and 20 minutes later my new home, Persan-Beaumont, north-west of Paris. There was eagerly waiting another team of the FSS for this important milestone in the life of the association. After an emotional welcome, I took off again with Claude, embarking with me Gilles Avenel, then Jean-Claude Miniggio, to test their pilots’ skills. We also performed some ground instruction: hand starting the engine by pulling the propeller through for Didier Cardinal, engine ground runs, and parking in the hangar for everybody.
